Shonse Genoray Kirkland hails from the Rocky Mountains of Denver Colorado and currently resides in Chester, Pennsylvania.

Shonse is the wife of Deacon Brian Kirkland. She is a believer in Christ, an educator, actor and singer.

Shonse Kirkland went to Knoxville College and recieved her master's degree from the University of Tennessee. Her degree is in Reading Education. Mrs. Kirkland has taught various grades for 13 years. Mrs. Kirkland currently is a social worker in Philadelphia. Mrs. Shonse was an exchange student and lived in Finland and Russia. She was the first person from her college to be a contestant in BET's Miss African American Pageant. She is 6 years classically trained and loves to sing and is currently working on a musical project. She has been in several theatrical productions and an off-Broadway tour. She has been on NBC's show "Clash of the Choirs" representing Philadelphia with Patti Labelle. Mrs. Shonse went on tour and sang background for Patti Labelle for 9 months. She also sang background for Usher, Mariah Carey and many more. She feels blessed and would like to continue to inspire and encourage people with her gift God has given her through music.
